Sybase WorkSpace is a unified, java-based application design, development, and deployment environment, built on the open-source Eclipse framework.  Workspace brings together enterprise modeling, data tooling, java development, services creation, and orchestration and mobile tooling into a single unified tool. With WorkSpace, you can buy the major components separately, or all of them together in the Studio edition.  Enterprise modeling is sold in additional options.

Workspace Components and Bundles available for purchase through eShop include:

• WorkSpace Database Development: Includes SQL editing and debugging, and support for ASE, ASA, IQ, and Rep Server.
• WorkSpace Data Analytics:: Designed to support modeling and development for Sybase IQ.  It includes all the database development features of Database Development module, together with the data modeling features in the Data Architect module.
• WorkSpace Data Analytics Enterprise:  Includes the enterprise repository, along with the features of Data Analytics.
WorkSpace Mobile Development:Includes automated mobilization of enterprise assets, including Java applications and database objects.  WorkSpace Mobile Development is not sold at version 2.0.  Customers who want to use the mobile tooling with Unwired Accelerator 8.0 must order version 1.7 of Mobile Development.
• WorkSpace Studio:Includes all tooling components.  No modeling features.
• WorkSpace DataArchitect: Includes the major data modeling components, Conceptual Data Model (CDM), Physical Data Model (PDM), Information Liquidity Model (ILM), XML Model (XSM), and Free Model (FRM) features.
• WorkSpace DataArchitect Enterprise: DataArchitect Enterprise includes the enterprise repository, along with the DataArchitect features.
• WorkSpace Designer: Includes the developer-centric modeling techniques specifically designed for application developers using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), including Object Oriented Model (OOM), Physical Data Model (PDM), Information Liquidity Model (ILM), XML Model (XSM), and Free Model (FRM) features.
• WorkSpace Designer Enterprise Designer Enterprise includes the enterprise repository, along with the Designer features.
• WorkSpace Designer Studio: Designer Studio consists of all modeling techniques, including business process models specifically designed for business analysts and non-IT users.  Designer Studio includes Business Process Model (BPM), Object Oriented Model (OOM), Conceptual Data Model (CDM), Physical Data Model (PDM), Information Liquidity Model (ILM), XML Model (XSM), and Free Model (FRM) features.
• WorkSpace Designer Studio Enterprise: Designer Studio Enterprise includes the enterprise repository, along with the Designer Studio features.

Licensing Options for WorkSpace:

• Standalone Seat: The Standalone Seat License (SS) permits the use of a copy of the Program for creation of applications on one Seat, a single workstation on which the program resides. 
  • Purchasing Guidelines:  Purchase one SS License for each workstation WorkSpace will run on.
• Notes:
  • In addition to software downloads, Sybase WorkSpace is also available for shipment on two physical media - DVD or CD.
  • There is no single orderable that includes all tooling and all modeling. To obtain all Workspace functionality order WorkSpace Studio (catalog 14195) and WorkSpace Designer Studio (catalog 14198).
